Within the Village of South Lebanon, the keeping of livestock and poultry is only permitted under the following conditions:

1. The property must be within the Agricultural or R-1 Single Family Residential District;
2. The lot must be at least three (3) acres; and
3. The building said animals must be a minimum of 100 feet from any property line.

Except as listed above, no other keeping of livestock/poultry is permitted within the Village.

At their meeting on February 18, 2016, the Village Council updated the Village’s Water Shut Off Policy from 2013. Please note the “turn-on” fee is $50.  Below is a link to the ordinance with the shut off policy attached:

On December 19, 2014, Governor John Kasich signed into law House Bill 5. One of the requirements of this new law requires all municipalities that have a municipal income tax to revise their income tax ordinance to incorporate the changes required in the bill. The Village Council approved the new tax ordinance at their meeting on Thursday, November 19, 2015. Below is a link to the ordinance.
