Energy Aggregation
UPDATED – September 27, 2023
On May 2, 2023, the voters of the City of South Lebanon overwhelmingly approved electric and natural gas aggregation programs in the City as permitted by the Ohio Revised Code. Since then, the City, through their Consultant, Energy Alliances, has gone through the required steps to implement these programs.
After all of the required steps were followed, the City Council entered into a 24-month agreement with Energy Harbor to provide electric service to the residents of South Lebanon at a rate of $0.0674/kwh as opposed to $0.0994/kwh which is the default Duke Energy rate. For a household that uses 2,000 kwh per month, they would save $64 per month through the City’s electric aggregation program. But, any eligible electric customer has the option to “opt-out” of the program. Additional is available at the Energy Alliances link below. You can also contact the City at (513) 494-2296, option 5 for more information.
Sincerely
Jerry Haddix
City Administrator
